Before the camera, there was snowboarding.
I spent over two decades as a professional snowboarder, traveling the world, working with brands, and learning what it means to perform under pressure. Snowboarding taught me timing, awareness, and how to read terrain, light, and movement instinctively. It also taught me discipline. You only get one chance to land it, so preparation matters.
That background still drives how I work today. I am calm on set, focused, and comfortable in fast moving environments. I understand athletes, machines, and motion because I lived inside that world for years. The transition from rider to photographer was natural. I already knew how moments are built, how stories unfold, and how to anticipate the split second that matters.
Snowboarding shaped my eye long before I ever picked up a camera.
